What is hair transplantation with the FUE method?
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is the first and only method active in hair transplantation. The feature of the FUE method is that the hair follicles are donated one by one. It should be taken from the area without incision and transferred to the necessary areas. It is an excellent technique as there is no scar or scar in the area taken. In this method, the goal is based on the one-by-one hypothesis. Grafts are taken one by one and placed one by one into the opened channels.
What are the stages of the FUE method?
Graft retrieval is done under local anaesthesia. After the area where the hair to be transplanted will be taken is prepared for the procedure, the hair follicles are taken and collected one by one. Rooting is performed with special tips, which we call 0.7 and 0.8 mm punch, by means of a micro motor. The follicles taken (Graft) contain 2-3 hairs. It is very important that the roots are not damaged at this time. During hair transplantation, it should be used homogeneously from the donor area in the best way. There should be no traces left.
All grafts should be stored in the cold chain. The grafts taken are carefully placed in specially opened channels.
The lateral slit method is directed towards the structure of the hair. By creating appropriate incisions according to the patient's hair follicle size and length, it ensures that channels are opened. The channels opened in the right size and depth directly affect the result in hair transplantation.
Another important issue is the angle of the canal where the hair follicle will be transplanted. Angles, which are the most important factors in capturing the natural hairstyle, should be given differently in each part of the head. Otherwise, the hair will not take the desired shape. Another factor for capturing naturalness is the correct determination of the hairline. The area where the hair starts is correct must be calculated.
